PSCA CELEBRATES 50 YEARS
PSCA was proud to celebrate and recognize our best at the Annual Honors and Awards Banquet held in the banquet room the Penn Harris Hotel Harrisburg on January 29, 2022. PSCA officers, board members, coaches and players gathered to celebrate the great accomplishments of those who are passionate about high school soccer in PA. The early afternoon affair was especially celebratory as 2022 marks the 50th year that PSCA has been an active organization.
The USC Regional All-America and USC National All-America Boys and Girls were recognized by PSCA Master of Ceremony Michael Lorback. Each attending player was awarded a certificate and a Select All-State ball. Special recognition was given to our Female State Player of year, Hallle Engle from Mechanicsburg HS and Male State Player of the Year, Sebastian Tis, from Conestoga HS. The PSCA Coaches of the Year and Assistant Coach of the Year Awards were presented with their plaques.
The Gerald Botdorf Service Award was given to PIAA Official Curt Behler. The highlight of the banquet was
the presentation of the Hall of Fame Inductees, Al Hershey from Pequea Valley HSand Tony Didyoung from Fleetwood HS. The final and most prestigious 2021 PSCA Honor Award was presented to Ron Wilcher from
Mt. Lebanon HS.
